Children between age two and three are developing into early investigators with a natural curiosity and developing vocabulary.
The emphasis in this class is on nurturing the connection between home and school, socially adjusting, and learning in an environment planned to encourage discovery, independence, the imagination, and social interaction. In order to develop confidence and self-regulation, children are encouraged to help themselves, take initiative, and become increasingly independent.
Children explore and work in large groups, small groups, and independently of one another through a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities. Our classes are kept small, with two co-teachers in each class. Our Beluga’s do not need to be potty trained to start.
Beluga Room: 1 teacher to 6 children. A maximum of 12 children.
Children between age 3 and four are developing a strong sense of self and are eager for new experiences.
As your child continues to grow, so does our Pres-school curriculum. Our Pre-school program is specifically designed with the growing toddler in mind. At this stage in the children’s life, they begin to gain more self-esteem and a sense of the world around them. Their curiosity continues to expand and their minds our open to new experiences and learning. Our program is geared to help facilitate the learning and help children become more independent and more importantly, lifelong learners. Our Pre-school program consists of a more detailed and structured program in which teachers outline the daily routine with scheduled activities to promote learning in every aspect. Children will be exposed to early science, math, reading, and social studies concepts through independent exploration, hands-on activities, and whole group lessons. Arts and crafts, music and dance, and many other techniques are incorporated into the routine to make learning fun!
Dolphin Room: 1 teacher to 7 children. A maximum of 14 children.
Our Pre-Kindergarten Program is designed for children between ages four and five. Preparing students for kindergarten and a joy of learning requires a balance of skills, including: intellectual, academic, creative, social and emotional.
This program is designed to be a preparation for children who are ready to go to kindergarten upon completion; or children can be on a two-year program, allowing the gift of time before kindergarten. If your child misses the September 1st cut-off for kindergarten, they will be on our two-year track in this program.
Through hands-on exploration and play, we engage our students in writing, reading, science, artistic expression, coding, math and engineering. Concepts are experienced, played with and integrated into the minds of young learners. We emphasis the importance of children understanding and recognizing the purpose in what they do, create, and learn. We encourage a minimum of 3 half days, but offer 2 and five days as well.
